TED R. BLASINGAME'S "FURMANKIND" SERIES IN ONE COLLECTED VOLUME
#1 - "SUNSET OF FURMANKIND"
Follow one man's journey through psychological demons, pain and revelation through an unwanted transformation into the life of a beast destined to explore other worlds.
#2 - "LOST IN THE WILDERNESS"
Deep within the painful transformations, the furman volunteers undergo training and education for their coming life's work. Public prejudices and psychological dangers present more of a threat than any of them realized, but the ultimate payoff may just make it all worth it all -- providing they can survive it all to get there.
#3 - "SECOND CHANCE"
When the furman colonists set down on a distant world to pave the way for later human inhabitants, not all is as idyllic as it appears. The indigenous life forms may not be mere simple animals thought to be harvested for food, and other uncertain dangers will force the Furs to more primitive measures, even as a decade-old mystery is in the backs of their minds. The amount of colonists were few to begin with, but the numbers could be getting smaller.
+BONUS - "A WILDER WEST"
When an injured Wild West showman’s life is saved by a half-human talking cheetah impossibly out on the North American wild plains, his life is changed forever by the existence of a creature he can neither understand nor explain. When the truth of her presence is revealed, the showman must make a decision that will forever affect the future of them both.

FURMANKIND eBook Ted R Blasingame
Understand that I have read a lot of anthropomorphic fiction that has never appeared in published form. Mr Blasingame's work shows that he truely cares to write a story that makes sense, is internally consistent and is not just fluff fan-writing. Yes, his writing comes from background in fan writing outside of the anthropomorphic realm, but it also contains a great deal of obvious world-building, consistency and effort to make a readable and enjoyable experience. This book is really a collection of three books, with the last one obviously having been originally written in some sort of episodic format, as that last book in the collection really seems to retell some of the basics from chapter to chapter rather than depending on the earlier chapters' information still being in the reader's memory.
The first book tells of one man's journey from 'wronged man who is paying the price for his act of violence' through becoming that which he felt had wronged him. The second book builds on the story of the first and tells a wider story about the group the main character is now a part of, as well as continuing the growth of the character himself. And the third finally takes the group to a destination and finishes the growth of the main character into his new life. The story works well on many levels, both in telling the growth of the main character, the growth of the people around him, and building a wonderful 'world' of ideas and characters to life. It has the depth that many books that come to use as eBooks seem to lack.

FURMANKIND eBook Ted R Blasingame Reviews
I enjoyed reading this book especially since the writer seems to know a bit about the science that went into the story.
Great read and will have you wanting more after each page! Author was able to put you into each character's mind and just paint the most amazing picture. Highly encourage this read for anyone it has something for everyone to enjoy.
This book was really nice and was quite a decent length too. while the subject mater wont be to everyone's taste it can be read as just science fiction or its particular genre so don't discount it just for the furry. Also comes with a nice bonus story which is pretty nice.
Didn't know what to expect with this book was bored and wanted something different...
I definitely found that.
Was hooked from the start thought looking for furries is not anything like I thought it would be. Characters that had to fight and change to survive.
It's definitely a different take on a story done over many times allowing new ideas and emotions on a alien would settlement idea using convicts and"volunteers" to start life on a new world.
I like the characters thought can feel a bit like a soap opera and I do wonder at the deaths or conflicts that are thrown in there because there needed?
Took my time and looking forward to the next book, can't do much better than that ^.^
A chance to leave earth and humans behind!!!
Just wish the drama was left behind as well, but who knows maybe book two will bring out the furry dream on a new planet, second chance...
Glad to find a good author and story, now book two.
I had purchased a digital DnD book that I had sought after for some time (paperbacks were apparently a rarity, but that's a different story) and once finished with it, suggested a hefty number of many books. Due to the theme of said book, all suggestions were furry-based books, and thus I went on a mini binge of fur reading. After reading a few short decent ones, Sunset of Furmankind eventually got suggested. Thinking I would love the supposed awfulness and ridiculousness of the name and cover image, a friend whom I had joked about the silliness of furry books for some time got a hold of my tablet when I wasn't looking and downloaded a sample of the book and placed it in my bookmarked files. After having a giggle about the ordeal, I decided to actually give it a read, seeing as the previous works I read had all been surprisingly pleasant. I quickly became engrossed in the sample, and before I knew it, I was left wanting more. Its purchase was immediate and without hesitation.
There were moments in this book that had me laughing along to the giddiness of the characters, and had me feeling awful at the somber moments the main character felt. There was a point where my mind was screaming NO NO NO WHY NO PLEASE DON'T DO THAT TO HIM when a character's fear becomes true, only to find it was thankfully nothing more than a vivid nightmare. A true connection was made between me and the story, and I even gained inspiration to improve certain aspects of my life. To me, that is what a
a piece of literary artwork should be. Granted, there are grammatical and other not so minute errors that distract from the story here and there, but I made it a point to note them and bring them to the author's attention (yes, this book was worth enough that spending time improving it came without a forethought).
Out of a dumb little joke, I got an amazing experience that came at a strange, low point in my life. That will be something I will never forget, and for that, thank you Ted.
Very well done as a Sci-Fi story in a plausible future. Up front this book is not soft porn> there are sexual intimations and suggestions but nothing overt.
What do you do if to survive you must become a being you hate a Furr. What if the reason you have to do this is to avoid being executed for murder- the murder of a Furr. What do you do when you have to confront the fact that you're becoming what you hate...or think you do.
This is a different Furr story. To a degree it's plausible and it is believable. It is very well done. Why this author hasn't done more is a question, since he takes the augmentation of being that a Furr is and deals with it from a semi-realistic viewpoint.
Are the Furrs superior? In some ways yes, and in others no. They retain their non-Furr natures and personalities, to their benefit and their loss. Are these people still human? Yes and no, read it and decide for yourself.
That's the mark of a good book you read it and draw your own conclusions from it.
